It seems we’re talking all things housekeeping this week, after Tuesday’s Tip. To catch you up if you missed last week’s post, we started talking about stealing the small, hidden moments in our days and making the most out of them–making them count. You know, like when you’re waiting for a pan to heat up, for the water to boil, for the muffins to come out of the oven. Yes, it seems like there are many moments in a typical homemaker’s day that require waiting.

Let’s apply this to our housekeeping habits. There are 3 loads of laundry on the couch that need folded. I’ve got two things stacked against me. First, I don’t love folding laundry. (This is frequently my kids’ job–a legitimate option.) And second, maybe I’d rather get to it later, when I can sit and do it all at once. (HA!…
